It's going to take more than one man to turn AMD around.

All they need is a small team of dedicated engineers who can create a great product similar to how the Israeli team did it for Intel with Conroe.

AMD needs someone with A++ Vision and Planning skills that is flexible and adapts to changing circumstances quickly and he needs full control.

To me, AMD appears mismanaged by their Board of Directors which is a deeper issue.

And AMD is in a desperate situation too, desperation can often drive the right individuals to amazing acheivements.

I think Apple took pity on AMD and sent him back there to try and salvage the situation.

Obviously not since he had already left Apple prior to returning to AMD. However I think Apple would be happy to see somebody help keep intel honest.
