no, DX11 is not "around the corner" - Vista7 will ship but there will be not be ANY DX11 games to go with it - just tech demos


DX11 games are about 2 years off - and they will be "patched in" DX11; true - from the ground up DX11, take at least a couple of years - who even has a DX11 Engine working now? it would be "alpha" stage
- Dx10 is just NOW taking off

4870 is more than twice faster than that slow ass 8800GT - 4870-x2 about 4x faster

Age of Conan is now DX10 [i reviewed it in October] and Hellgate: London [i wrote a 'goodbye' to it in December] was *awesome* DX10 that ran faster - and looked MUCH better - on the DX10 pathway than the DX9; that is the ONLY game i saw that did this, so far.

But that list of DX10 games would be fairly long by now
