This video explains why it's taken Intel so long to move away from front side bus technology.

Yes, we know AMD has been really hurting Intel's server sales mostly because of Hypertransport related infrastructure. When they did the same thing on the desktop side a few years ago Intel was reasonably quick to release Core2.

After AMD's multicore solution proved better than the competition, Intel finally fixed (sort of) their stuff as well.

But why has it taken them soooooooo long to get with the program when it comes to FSB? Watch and learn.

i think it could apply to any major corporation that is board-driven. It is like a huge ship that is not very nimble when it comes to changing direction and it tends to run over problems with brute force without need for finesse.

i think the ones that would love this [anti-] commercial best would be Apple

I can't blame intel for not eliminating the FSB now that they are bringing out a Fusion-type product before AMD, without even having purchased NV or ATi. To me this is very impressive.

AMD moved away from FSB in 2001 and Intel is just now getting started down that path. Originally they said it wasn't relevant, now they have changed their story 180 degrees. What took them so long to figure it out?

This is a video about stupid people. The analogy is that Intel has done something stupid.
