"ZDNet technology news site recently received news that, based on the AMD FX series bulldozer architecture around the processor will start shipping in the final week.

The message said to come from senior people inside AMD said, so reliability should still be relatively high. Coupled with the previously confirmed from multiple sources of basic FX series will be released in mid-September, now shipping is reasonable.

Just over a month ago, AMD has officially declared that the server version of the bulldozer structure Interlagos Opteron will begin shipping in August .

However, limited GlobalFoundries 32nm process capacity and yield, bulldozers in the short term can not be expected to have much volume, even the same technology, the demand for greater Llano APU remains very tight, many parts of the retail market entirely see vain side. Want to buy a bulldozer in the country? Optimistic estimates have to wait until November. "

pretty much the same exact thing over and over and over!!!

Where is the link to ZDNet news?
- where is the source?

Or are they making something up to get hits? How big and reliable of a site is this. The original link you posted is not reliable at all.

Within the next week or so AMD should begin shipping its FX Series processors

Nothing really new. :P

It's a shame that it has taken AMD this long to release Bulldozer.

The thing is though, IMO there's not much point in having something faster than a decent quad core.

I know I won't be upgrading until I'm CPU limited in games, which will probably be a while.

- using GTX 460-768M SLI, right?

I can well believe that bulldozer chips start shipping this week, the question is, from where and in what form? As raw wafers from Dresden needing to be packaged? As packaged chips in Malaysia headed for AMD warehouses? Or final retail product headed from AMD warehouses to retail/etail outlets?

Yours is a well balanced system for 1080. Performance basically equal to AMD's top quad with a near-GTX 580.
- it's close to what i would pick if i was buying my own HW
:good:
