As long as Rollo is not posting here, i have no issues with NVIDIA whatsoever - not with their PR and not with their marketing (any longer). The issues were purely personal. i did not go chasing after Rollo to discredit him - he followed me here to my own tech site; just as you are doing.

i remember that there was a lot going on when you became NVIDIA Focus Group; that there was some kind of major cosmic timing involved because you discussed it with me; i believe we even talked on the telephone (and at least PMmed/emailed) as we discussed *perception* issues. You asked for my advice.

Let me go over it again for you so that it is clear:

You are trustworthy - that is not in dispute. You are also a dyed-in-the-wool NVIDIA fan - which is also not in dispute. Nor are you "impartial". And being BOTH a NVIDIA Focus Group member AND a VIDEO mod brings up *perception* isssues. Clearly it is happening or ATF video would not be in turmoil.

If you can't see that, you are beyond lost.

And here is the *reason* why Keysplayr was made Focus Group. Because i started a thread where Rollo was SO discredited that he could no longer be "effective" in video as a viral marketer. Note the timing - March 11, 2008 was when i posted the thread; just 2 days before Keys made Focus Group on Rollo's recommendation. Rollo was thoroughly embarrased and ultimately castrated in Public for the second time (no wonder he *hates* me). This lead to his downfall and his Rollo Avatar ultimately getting the boot from ATF for good.

After i created the thread that discredited him, i got a bunch of hate emails from Rollo - then Keys was promoted to Focus Group and Wreckage made his return to ATF video all about that same time.

Notice "Jethro Bodine" - aka Rollo (that is one of his known aliases); it was never banned or deactivated and there is no "Focus Group" in his sig. There are probably at least a dozen accounts there just waiting to be unleashed (and i know we have some). He is no ordinary fanboy "hobbyist" as he wants everyone to believe.

Mark was saying good things about you a few days ago, and yet you still attack him? It reminds me of one of my best friends whose favorite statement was: "a person does not forget the bad things said or done against him". It seems that you cannot forget the "bad" things that Mark said about you. Is it that bad that you have to check the forums everyday here just to defend yourself here with a laundry list of things to defend yourself against whenever the situation builds up badly enough? Shouldn't you have more faith in yourself to not have to gravely concern yourself with such? I mean, ATF is a huge forum that should keep you *busy* enough as a SUPER-MOD?

What am I doing here? Have you seriously not seen the callout threads here? Apoppin is right. It was March not May of '08. And that changes nothing. Apoppin still maintained that I became a focus group member ON THE SAME DAY that Rollo was permanently banned from Anandtech. Said this several times in this thread and the other callout thread Apoppin asked Sickbeast to create.
BoFox, if you give him enough time, Apoppin will turn on you as well. He is a true friend to no one. Manipulative. The reason he is preaching now that "There is nothing wrong with "viral marketing" is because he practices it. Callout threads, insults, manipulating others into causing conflicts. It's something he enjoys and will do anything to get his 15 minutes of fame.
You can't see this right now BoFox, but Apoppin, Sickbeast, and the like are several thousand times worse than they ever accuse me of being. He is a user. There may come a time when he asks you to go over to AT and start a conspiracy thread, or give a link to ABT in a subtle way. Has he already?
So, this is what I'm doing here. Making sure you know who you're dealing with. As I said, Apoppin can say the nicest things in the world to you at the top half of one second, then trash you before the second hand on the clock hits the bottom.

I've no reason to lie, this is what my experience has been with him. I've asked Apoppins partners on this site to reconsider their position on having Apoppin on as any sort of rep for the site.

I'm generally an easy going guy, and saying things like this about someone does not come easy. There is reason behind my posts here. Apoppin will spin this better than the best spinner on the planet and backpedal better than Michael Jackson himself. Say you take him out of context, fall back to semantics, whatever it takes. Do..... Not ..... Trust ..... him .....

To answer your question: Yes I do have faith in myself and try to be patient with other people. Tried this with Mark. Gave him the benefit of the doubt several times too many. And I'm not sure if you're asking me to "forget" the long list of insults Mark has provided toward me on this site. But this is why I no longer question the good things Mark may say. They aren't sincere, no matter how many times he states "I mean what I say." That just doesn't happen with Mark. He instinctively takes the manipulative road.
I have faith in myself, but enough is enough. I've watched these threads progress and they are horrible. Nasty. You would do the same eventually. I think anyone would.
