All this just cracks me up to be honest.
However, I think that having dedicated sections to this kind of thing is something that will actually help ABT grow and "mature" beyond other tech sites.

I think that leaving this sort of garbage on the site at all is precisely what will keep alienbabeltech from growing and being taken seriously. It will become known as the comedy site where everyone comes to beatup on each other. But, if that is what apoppin wants (and from his vision for the site I can only conclude that it is) then who am I to argue?

One thing is for sure -- you won't see me in here (personal issues) after this post (unless to answer any reply to this post).

This sort of garbage is quite useful to show your true face regarding the forum, because trolls like you are the one who clutters the threads with trolling, NVidia marketing propaganda and false lies and accusations, derailing threads and endless spins. You should just leave this forum forever and will do a favor to everybody here.

We don't delete threads here; not even the forum owners or administrators do it.

Even the spam threads are not deleted; they are saved for evidence.

As to "too much freedom", there will always be those who feel there is too much or too little.
- we are not going to moderate like the other sites.
. . . we are going to move threads that derail the topics to their own personal PvP area .. and ABT will have serious tech discussions. And yes there will be forum battles .. in 3D

Keeping threads is a good practice for evidence. Might I suggest, for the truly worthless threads and spam threads, you create a specific forum just to move all of the junk. On another board I frequent they have a hidden sub-forum for the moderators to move the junk threads. Deleting them removes evidence of the junk, which could be handy later.

I disagree--ABT is a great tech site; and I'm guilty of some of the off topic posts. It won't happen anymore. However, ABT is an open forum and promotes free discussion. I never feel like I'm being monitored by some green goblin here. Nevertheless, Apoppin's reviews are among the best in the tech world; and I'm not kissing butt. It's the truth. I think this place will grow by leaps and bounds and I'm proud to be a member here. (beer2)
