I think we have not hit bottom yet. Once we hit bottom we may stay there a while. If Obama is lucky though we may start to crawl up a bit just as he is due for re-election.

The only thing that will slow the comeback is gas prices.

It will force Obama to address the Oil/Gas criminals which I have been waiting patiently for.

Actually no.

Alternative energy should not mean more expensive energy and that is what they are doing.

It's an excuse to jack prices.

That's OK. When you have enough people that can't afford to be on the "grid" any longer you will have a Revolution.

Well, in terms of production and resources, oil is by far the most efficient resource on the planet. Hopefully that will change, but wishing it werent so doesnt make it wrong.

Actually it should be a crime.

Just as people are looking to jail the AIG people, the Oil thugs should've been in jail since 1973.

For what exactly? Keeping oil at a price that it remains the most cost effective resource? They could do what electricity does...mark it up 300%...how would that be?

Actually at $5 I bet it was jacked up nearly 300%.

So you agree with jacking up prices 300%.

See you are one of the ones that should be jailed.

You should leave before you are.

Actually it was at about 115%. Pretty normal for anything traded on NYMEX. Read up, amateur. I think its interesting you think I should be jailed for my thoughts. What are you, Stalin? Thank God the likes of you arent in office.

ONLY because it is artificially manipulated to keep it that way

Solar or wind *can* be far more economical - the oil companies have deliberately stood in the way of progress to keep us way behind where we should be; like the Arab states stuck in the 13th century because of their repressive religion and blind ignorance treating in women as 2nd rate.
- this gas-powered internal combustion engine - unchanged for 60 years - using the blood of the last civilization is SO stupid ... we are 100 years behind where we should be because of those oil rich bastards who BLOCK technology and ruin the planet with the poison spewing from their antiquated engines - and the last corrupt Bush administration would not even ALLOW California to MANDATE more efficient engines, if you need an example of the oil rich greedy bastards OWNING the USA

who cares if 'alternative' is more expensive? - at first .. Once we no longer import oil, we will no longer be held hostage to international schemers and corrupt middle eastern governments; and their evil empire can go back into the sand for all any sane or peace loving person cares
- they deliberately offer oil as a "drug" like crack cocaine .. i say, to hell with the oil producers .. make them irrelevant .. my solution

. . . and there are alternatives to a grid
- local sources can be tapped; there can be grants to get it going for those left off the grid
