Our price in California has been dropping for the past week

That's really odd.

I don't see how that will stick with oil still rising and heading towards Memorial Day.

What is it at your local stations now?

$4.19, i think

i am still driving around on $4.32 a gallon gas, so i don't pay much attention

$4.59 out here in the suburbs, $4.89 in the city still.

Does your state have Winter and Summer gas additives?

In California, the price per gallon drops in the Spring as the suppliers change to a cheaper gas.

That's exact opposite of here. They run a cheaper gas in winter and the summer blend is more expensive.

How can it be the reverse there?

Whatever oil company scam works best for California may not work economically for Illinois. That's about all that i can think of. Maybe they "trade" gas from one state to the other so they can tack on extra fees.

U.S. gasoline hits $3.93 a gallon

The price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States rose 11.49 cents over the past two weeks as profit margins for refiners and gasoline retailers increased

The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline rose to $3.9297 on March 23, the survey of about 2,500 gasoline retailers in the continental United States found.

Among cities covered by the survey, the lowest average price was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at $3.58 per gallon.

Drivers in Chicago paid the most at $4.56 a gallon.

It's $3 a gallon in Tijuana. A lot of drivers cross from San Diego to fill up now; some install extra large gas tanks

It's over $5/gallon here in Canada.
