Another thing X264 benchmark is probably not linked to i7-3770K.U can see all the CPU related information are wrong.It would be great if u can update some of your benchmarks using 2*4 GB of ram in IB.Some games can benefit from this.

Thanks

Fixed

x64 benchmark is older than IB. i d/led the latest this AM
- i commented on it in the evaluation

Upgrading from 4>8GB of RAM is not necessary for ANY games. It is beneficial for other things
- and that is the basis of an upcoming evaluation

You can force Skyrim to use up to 4gb of RAM after the 1.3 LAA patch by manipulating the SKYRIM.ini

This is what I use for my 8gb machine.
uGridsToLoad=9
uExterior Cell Buffer=100
iPreloadSizeLimit=34359738368

This is more appropriate for a 4 gb machine.
uGridsToLoad=7
uExterior Cell Buffer=100
iPreloadSizeLimit=8589934592

This affects your draw distance.

If you used the settings for 8gb abpve on a system with 4gb of RAM, you'd end up constantly using the page file.

ASRock does have an updated BIOS for my Z68 MB. So i will have 3 motherboards to compare in an upcoming evaluation, ASRock z68 and two z77 MBs - ECS and my Gigabyte

And i don't feel bad about the brevity of my review any longer ... this site tested TWO games
- and Shogun II is probably pre-patch
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2012/0 ... k-review/7

i sure didn't feel like repeating everything that other tech sites featured
-- my review (Part 1) is complete and Part two benching starts as soon as i get my Noctua cooler previewed, photographed and max OC set up. And i have a new Tt full tower as home for it
(Overseer RX-1)
:hello:

it was very interesting. I knew your 920 was still very capable but it completely holds its own. Put it up against the 3770 at the same clocks and the 920 is just as good or better. All this has to do with games though. There where a few titles i expected the older architecture to show its age but i am literally surprised. It makes me want to see a head on head ipc review thats all about the CPU and not just gaming. Especially i would like to see them with the clocks being equal.

I am starting to think that intel hasnt made much ground on ipc other than their clocks going up. Here is the chance to see what has been gained in performance alone. We all know how well intel has managed their power consumption. I think it is important to show the strides in power usage too. but thats not what i am excited to see. head on head. 920 vs 3770 at the same clock speed!!!!!!!! Cant wait!

Amen.An in-depth investigation about IPC would be great.
