The formatting of some of the charts didn't translate well from wordpress to the forum. Best read here:

Well, about the only thing I have to say is that there appears to be at least a little truth in advertising, at least for this product (if indirectly).

I say this because I expect the card will prove about as useful to potential gamers as the model's "uniform" in combat...........

Also entertaining is the position of the "Low Profile" callout on the box! (ROFLMAO)

It's a unique card at the moment. There is nothing else like it.
--if you are looking for a mini-ITX low profile card and light gaming, it is best in its class for it price.

And now i gotta fix the typos.

Next up Air vs. Water .... then a Mystery card .. and a SSD evaluation .. then a driver performance comparison between Tahiti and Kepler, from launch to the present

Guess what goes on sale for $99 after $15 MiR immediately after my evaluation publishes?

The EVGA GTX 550 Ti, of course. If you don't need low-profile, it is a better gaming card.

Do you think anything new from Nvidia is coming shortly?

it would have to be the 660 (non ti) and the 650. Both should be interesting comparisons to AMD's 7850 and 7770.

i actually like this card. It would be easy to recommend it. it gets all the power from the pcie slot so it would be idea for a vast majority of people that just want to game some with their PC. Its low profile, its cool, i mean its quite good for what it is. This is a very decent card

Who in their right minds is going to purchase a 7750 when they can get deals like the one mark linked on GTX 550?

To me, requiring a PCI-e power lead is a plus, less chance of the PC blowing up when the craptacular PSU in it can't handle the extra load. It's always a good day when you can rid the world of one more junk PSU.

They are going to purchase one for mini-ITX - where a single slot solution fits their needs.
-- for this purpose, there are very few choices that can do DX11 gaming.

exactly. There is actually a very large amount of people this card would be perfect for.

so we are clear, i sure wouldnt buy it. I dont expect anyone of us would. If we only could choose between the two, i am sure the 550ti would be all of our choices. But we all have huge cases and possibly fully custom builds. This doesnt prevent me from seeing the potential for this low profile solution. A tremendous amount of PCs out there arent very big and lack PCIe power connectors. There are plenty that dont even have two extra molex connectors for a PCIe adapter. These are not the PCs you or i would ever buy, but so many do. Its a great quick solution that i think is a neat option for a large but specific market. I like it for that reason. Simple and practical.
