The problem was with the battery,needed to change it within 2 months and even after that it drained real fast.On a fine day it took about 5 minutes.

That's pretty good - my Logitech G7 would need swapping every 8 hours after constant usage (with a backup battery that was in the separate charger that takes a few hours to charge it up). I'd love 2 months and 5 minutes of charging!

Now i am abusing it - leaving it plugged in overnight to see if there are issues with overcharge; charging it two or three times in a row to see if there is a 'memory' (it's a capacitor)
- no issues i can find, so far

i think i might recommend it after a week or so of use. i sure like it for every day use, so far. Looking for batteries is a thing of the past .. i just leave the USB cable plugged into the PC and handy for charging when the LED flashes (and it still takes 3-1/2 minutes and the charge still lasts about 6 hours; leaving it on overnight, there is still usually a charge in the AM).

i actually had the evaluation written when the mini charging plug inside the mouse broke rendering it useless because it cannot be recharged


Now you wonder why i keep hardware a long time after i get it. i always try to give HW a *thorough* evaluation. It is a good mouse (except i wish the charge lasted longer) but with a plug that can be broken after hundreds of charges, might not get a recommendation from me. Of course, it could be this one sample; i was pretty "hard" on it .. but i let Genius know and i'll report back what they say
