Done deal. I'd buy it. Yes happy, The yr to yr discrete GPU market has went down. the growth is slipping. PC sales yr to yr is slipping. This will continue, its inevitable. it means exactly this: percentage wise the portions are getting smaller, when the portions gets smaller thats when the dogs come out fighting. Less and less portions means survival of the fittest, blood slaughter style. As far as denver, I agree with you so much. in too many ways its one of the most logical places for the project, not excluding all the other fancy energy efficient applications out there. As a gaming platform, it makes too much since. But not only in this perspective, as a market for project Denver, but even if you look at the from the console side. it makes a lot of since too. The attack of ARM is fast and fierce, in months their power double. Consoles have had the luxury of being able to remain the same for 8yrs and longer. I cannot see this remaining true forever. The future ARM based systems will be swift, powerful, and number in the billions. The market for gaming will be insane for these devices. Gaming already is big on them, maybe not all the biggest budget million dollar titles but ARM isnt in the performance levels that these developers are used to. But, ARM has no indication of slowing down. Actually the reverse, arm appears to be entering into a performance race. Its happening as we speak. I personally believe there is no stopping what is in motion, less their is a big change in the face of the earth like in 2012, arm will multiply in power a a rate like no other. This is in all processing capabilities including graphically. There will be the leaders and soon after the followers which will trail behind the same steps. The greatest apps will flow from top to bottom. In time yesterdays highest tech apps will run on the lower level systems. This is something to consider. Steady progress for the cutting edge, high tech with a long trail behind it. With so much computing power and such a huge user base, ARM can easily be a huge gaming platform. From top to bottom. It can make tons of $$$ for the big gaming corporations. From top to bottom. And with arm processing power flowing the way it is up, the top games can trickle down just as well. Porting games would be nothing like it is, many games would in a way port themselves in due time as the lower cost devices catch up with the performance required, all in a matter of time. Think of this potential, it would be a developers dream. Its hard to say how things will actually go in the near term, but the long term will not look anything like what we had in the first decade of 2000, that i will bet on.

If multi-dimensional, why does it still need to be physical, let alone 1cm high? By the year 9000, it'll only need to be in spiritual dimensions, exerting metaphysical powers that wreak havoc upon all living physical beings through evil Karma. Kinda like God's mysterious ways. Can it go any higher than this?

i am running out of time. i will have to use some archived results (catalyst 11-2) and may have to eschew SLI testing. i think it is more important to test a full range of games than it is to show every competing card. Especially as there will be a natural "follow-up" to this article .. and amazingly it is actually Part of a recent series i am working on. What do you think? i am probably going to be late with this one; drivers weren't released until Thursday

I cant see the new driver bring huge huge differences. Not this time. But even if it does, you do what you do and thats all you can do. The more data the merrier

Just stick with high end cards and GOOD dual card configurations.

(Excuse the sentence fragments.. I'll just say it bluntly.) One big "zero". The great cycle that is perfectly circular like "O". This "O" embodies the basic laws of duality that creates a "split" in the singularity of one great big zero, and serves as the basis of all mathematics. The ZPE (zero-point energy) that involves the Aether, which provides a mathematically "holed" pathway upon which light travels, as it strives to return to the "whole" of God, of this infinite "zero". A "mysterious" (God-GIVEN !!?!!?!! ) qualitative law of growth imbues specific harmonic stages of progression for intelligence to unfold towards universal consciousness, even if it boils down to consciousness of the all, of the zero. For we came from zero nothingness, so shall we return to zero nothingness. Yet, there is always the spark, the profound opposite of this zero, namely the "1" upon which life arises within this great big zero. Am I going nuts now? Loco, crazy, too conscious of the zero in my head that you could perfectly describe me with a finger pointing to your temple that goes around in circles, describing this "zero"? Hey, even atoms and galaxies operates in beautifully circular cycles!

I've heard of going to "zero with a bullet", but man, that takes it to a whole new level! From a strictly logical, scientific, and mathematical standpoint, bofox, you could well be right. That said, I find it easier to believe what's written in the Bible compared to trying to believe that we were somehow created by nothing.

That's why I mentioned "God-GIVEN". It's amazingly evident in itself and also "mysterious". That's how it is--the nature of it is mysterious, since it's the name of the game that requires the mind to first be ready with the pondering and contemplation (questioning) and then open up with faith that the answer will be received. Faith is often mistaken for wishful thinking--it actually means more of a matured, open-minded sacrifice towards the heavens. The irony of it is that those who do not receive much have a much harder time understanding what it means until it is consciously experienced. It's like trying to describe an orgasm to somebody who has never experienced one. Just don't forget the duality of it--especially Ecclesiastes 1:2 where it says "Vanity of vanities .. vanity of vanities; all is vanity." Does that mean all is nothingness, a great big zero? Yes, and no, because all is also meaningful when imbued by the living spark that makes it positive-and-negative.
I'll stop for now, yeah, it's OT!!!!!!!!!!!! Back to topic.. oh yeah, it's the tremendous success of computers operating on 1's and 0's. How about that HD 6990 doing it 6 trillion times a second (TFLOPS)?
