i got the word. Officially. More mystery card s to arrive shortly. The one that was supposed to arrive this week is coming next week. i will share all of the non-NDA information that i can with you - including not giving you the dates nor the names of the cards. i will tell you, however, that this is going to require me to spend more time benching and writing than ever before in any single week!! Here's what i can share: Something is coming ... for sure! More than one something. Like it has never happened before to my knowledge. i remember saying back in November that this was going to be one of the most interesting times ever in graphics - but i didn't quite expect this sequence of upcoming events this might kill me from lack of sleep and excitement. The good news is that i have my SLI vs. CF evaluation (Part 1) going up tonight or tomorrow morning. Expect a new HW evaluation from Dave also; and my Diamond Soundcard evaluation ASAP! And hopefully the pre-benching for Part 2 will be useful for evaluating these mystery cards.

Actually, i hate to be the wet blanket .. but this series of scheduled upcoming events is something that (to my knowledge) has never happened before. They are not coordinating with each other very well ouch! ouch!Very interesting. As promised

" And hopefully the pre-benching for Part 2 will be useful for evaluating these mystery cards."
Since we all know Part 2 is for more powerfull cards in sli/x-fire, I guess you are getting 2 higher end dual gpu cards. How many cards are comming? You can answer that right?
"They are not coordinating with each other very well" That statement tells me the cards might be from the same company? Now if you are getting 2 from the same company.................?
Am I getting warm?

Actually no. Just realize that i have to respect our NDAs and i will err on the side of being overcautious with information. However, i did say we were expecting something for this week that was delayed a week. That left me free to pursue part 2 benching (part one for tomorrow AM!); it's what i do most of the time anyway. However, imagine what would happen if two pieces of hardware came at the same time - both really important and each one requiring its own evaluation due on the same day.

Could it be all of those:
GTX 590 HD 6990 HD 6970 1GB GTS 550 Ti GTS 550 SE (same castration as GTS 450, but with slightly higher clocks) GTX 560 SE (pretty much a renaming of GTX 460 1GB, except it's clocked at say, 750-800 MHz) and a surprise dedicated PhysX card that works in all systems (like Ageia used to)?!???

Wouldn't that be a mess? i wonder what would happen with the tech sites? Not many could cover simultaneous releases of different classes of video card. Nvidia and AMD would be doing themselves a disservice by messing things up so badly, It would be like bringing out a GTX 470 and GTS 450 on the same day that AMD would release a HD 4350 and HD 5970 - i guess you could just have one big chart - but i'd sure hate to read (or write) the commentary. "Today we have 4 major releases from AMD Graphics and Nvidia ..."
