EVGA's Improved Warranty (!!)

Postby apoppin » Sun Mar 18, 2012 10:50 am

http://www.evga.com/articles/00671/

Impressive!
Products purchased on or after July 1st, 2011* will have a minimum of a 3 year warranty, registration is optional. The warranty will no longer be non-transferable, and new bonuses will be available for those that do register within 30 days of purchase!

Product warranty covers the product, not the user.
Registration is no longer required for RMAs.
Step-Up and Extended Warranty will be available for all original owners registered with the new global RMA system within 30 days of purchase.
If you move, you can send your product back to your local warranty center no matter what region you purchased it in.
A new Standard Cross-Shipping RMA service is free**.

* Recertified and 1 Year Warranty products are not included.

** A credit card will be required for this service to hold in place until EVGA gets the defective card back.
Stay tuned for more details coming April 2nd, 2012!!!

I will never sway from EVGA. They have impressed me will all the videocards I've purchased and not one has died on me.
All bought from either EVGA or NewEgg!

6800gt, 7800gtx, 8800gts/640 and the 470sc.

My next card will be from them also ;)

Well, it is about time that some of the bullsh!t companies try to attach to their warranties was removed. I wouldn't be suprised if this wasn't because the BBB told EVGA to change their policies since the old restrictions are legally unenforceable.

EVGA has been known for good consumer policies and they have a thriving community. i see them improving their warranty because they are confident in their products. This is a good thing imo.

EVGA is Nvidia's No1 partner in North America.

I still think its more because someone threatened to sue them for refusing to honor their warranty myself.

Whatever the reason, they are now offering a very consumer-friendly warranty. i guess they have confidence in Kepler
:)

At any rate, ABT made contact with EVGA at CES and as soon as i clear my current workload of backed up articles this coming week, i want to review their PSUs, video cards and motherboards.
