For the first time, i am caught up on committed reviews and i am looking for what you want to see next. The Genius Eco Wireless battery-free mouse will be a mini-review and the reviews coming from Mario and Ivan are independent of Planning that we are discussing here. Also expect a Blog this weekend on 4 big companies and they way they approach Social Media and i'll publish Andy's new blog.

Here is what is possible since i was going to "save" my Kingston 240GB SSD and Noctua NH-DH14 for the Ivy Bridge platform. Well, i can do these evaluations next if your like. i think it would be great to get 4.4GHz on my Core i7-920 just for when IB arrives. And it would be interesting to see how a Hyper-X SSD compare to a V-now series (i can use USB 2.0 on my current platform and a future article could explore how USB 3.0 improves performance)

The GTX 680 and the HD 7970 barely had their surface scratched (so to speak) in regards to future evaluations. i'd also like to add a couple more games to my benching list (BF3 being a priority of mine but i might have to wait for my new ISP; which reminds me to contact ViaSat for a possible evaluation of their new service).

So .. enough about me .. it's all about you now .. what do you want to see next from ABT

My suggestions ;)
1.If u can add BF3 and witcher 2 to your benchmark suite that would be great.
2.Review of some GPGPU apps
3.IQ analysis
4.Vram usage on some demanding games. It would bust some myth i guess :)

i *really* like #4
:hello:

Using the GTX 680 and HD 7970 at 2560x1600 and 5760x1080 with enough AA to really tax them
- can also compare with the GTX 580 ... 1.5GB vs 2GB vs 3GB .. for high end cards.
- maybe toss in GTX 460 SLI to compare a 1GB framebuffer

And here's where detailed benches like FC2 (and even Source Engine and Street Fighter IV bench as well as synthetics .. and BF3) can be very useful. And i'd say that no more than ten games are necessary to find the trend and to draw conclusions.

10 games are more than sufficient to draw a conclusion :)

Let's see if anyone else comments.

If i were to pick ten games at high resolution, off the top of my head i'd pick:
Metro 2033 and FC2 (and maybe even Street Fighter IV) for their incredibly detailed and well designed benchmark tools. Crysis 2 for its engine. L4D2 to see what a popular engine does and i also have to pick and Unreal 3.5 game engine - so Batman AC .. and i'd toss in Arkham Asylum also to compare. Then Shogun 2. BF3 if i can get it working properly again. .. maybe DiRT 3 ..

At the top of the forum should be a permanent link to the ABT website. I can't seem to get there easily from the forums. At least it's not obvious.

Agreed. For some reason, it was not easy to implement ... there is a "back to the main site" link but it is not obvious enough (obviously)

I'll see if there is some way to embed the main link in the Logo or something.

I'll second the VRAM evaluation, as it's always brought up when comparing gtx 5xx vs hd 6xxx cards and now 680 vs 7970. Skyrim with hd texture pack should be part of your game suite.

Any sales on Skyrim going? How big is the D/L? i may have to get a retail box as i am still on WildBlue and won't have unlimited D/L'ing until the 30th (unless i get ViaSat first)

Yes, i am really interested in this comparison - for a long time

i believe it depends on how the architecture is designed to work with Window's address space
- AMD cards probably benefit from the larger framebuffer - but not over Nvidia cards which are designed to work efficiently with less

My guess and prediction
