i believe we have said all of this before. Did anyone notice an AMD "ultrabook" at Computex. i see plenty of Intel and Nvidia solutions.

For gpu yes but for cpu they are irrelevant

Now this brings up a question.

How much has AMD grown ATI's graphics division?

At most it was worth $5 billion dollars when they bought it. And how much has the volume of sales gone up? Is it more profitable now, 6 or so years after the acquisition? And how would ATI have done if they were never acquired by AMD?

I don't understand finance very much but I think their gpu division is a meager contributor to their overall revenue

So then they are not relevant. If they are not growing ATI division significantly, they are going backwards.

Nope not yet,but I think I heard about trinity ultrabooks not so sure really.Unfortunately their cpu is still way far behind than Intel

AMD is no longer relevant in terms of desktop CPUs.

You know it's bad when Intel's low end dual core i3 can beat their high end 8 core Bulldozer in many benchmarks.
