I have a single core Android and it does everything all the guys that have the latest Samsung and iPads do just fine.
It's not just the quad core. The newer processors are much more powerful clock-for-clock as well, plus it has a really good GPU (for a tablet). There's also the fact that it runs Jelly Bean which will make it run smoother.
I just think there's nothing that comes close to the Nexus 7 for the price. If I didn't already have a Playbook I would get one.
Plus there's the low resolution that I mentioned. You could load up most webpages in portrait mode on the Nexus whereas with lower res screens you're stuck in landscape mode permanently.
