i really need a 480GB SSD. i have 2 x 240GB that i can "make do" with by dropping some games from my reviews.

All the games I play, yes. I only play maybe 5-6 games at any given time.

I almost bought a second one for RAID-0, but from what I gather you can't exceed ~500mb/sec with the onboard RAID controllers, so I'm not sure how much of a boost I would get out of it.

Well, if this deal weren't dead I would order 4 of them for you and ship them; even without the rebate they are around $100 each which is still a good deal.

*edit* This deal is still alive despite some nay-sayers. :)
