We are hearing that Nvidia may be launching a new promotion that will include discounts for Nvidia videocards when consumers buy the new Intel Core i5 or Core i7 CPUs.



It appears to me that Nvidia and Intel are working on fixing their differences; clearly this would be a cross-promotion for both companies.

So the logical question here is, where does AMD stand now with Nvidia?
(and Nvida with AMD chipsets?)

Yes, thats the million dollar question. As I've said before, there are a lot (thousands, literally) of small system builders out there who sell lots of AMD cpu's and would hate to have to be forced back to intel and their bully-boy tactics (to buy our cpu's at a sane price / at all, you have to advertise like this, and not sell AMD systems etc etc).
