Shouldn't you be busy kissing ATi's butt?

And not show you this? http://tinypic.com/302xg81.jpg , ye of little faith.

P.S. Do I know you? (oooh.. you're the "nvidia doesn't optimize for games!" and "I get banned everywhere because I'm such a Trollo guy") haha

P.P.S. I also wouldn't go for GT300 being a 100% improvement over GT200, you've probably been handed the slide decks for partners as well. Sure, RV870 can be twice RV770 like GT300 is over GT200 in those slide but you're talking about hand-picked benchmarks. So, if GT300 proves to be 1,5 times GT200 I think everybody should be very happy and hence see the need for a Dual Fermi board.

First of all, your link is broken

Secondly, Rollo posts here under his own username, as Rollo

Thirdly, Gstanford was posting at ATF video up until about 3 or so years ago - under the same user name, same green glasses and same disdain for all things ATi

Finally,
(wlcm)

in conclusion, i do not expect GF100 to be 2 times the performance of GTX 285 - maybe in a few best cases; but it should get back the single-GPU performance crown - and the GF-X2 will be the new performance sandwich.
:hello:

My google skills suck, just like my tinypic skills

Image

I've been saying that GT300 will be faster than RV870 forever, just like some people were disappointed about Cypress, they will be disappointed about Fermi.

I got that picture after somebody else told me the Furby launch was pushed back 'till after CeBit. So far the only thing certain on that slide seems to be the Q2 launch of midrange parts.

Why does the roadmap show the old designations?

The new ones are GF, aren't they?

Why is the nvidia logo a different black then the slide? at least AMD puts some effort in it's fake slides.

(yeah, the slide is old)

And no I'm not AMD, nor affiliated with.. Last time someone sent me a free graphics card for my efforts, it was a GeForce.

I'm quite sure you remember me from b3d - radar1200gs, and from anandtech - gstanfor. What handle do you use in anandtech btw (don't try and tell me you don't post there in video)?

I was banned from B3D because I made Baumann (the master "high road" disciple) look like an idiot in his own forums over partial precision.

The fanatics at anandtech didn't appreciate my naming suggestion for CFAA (and now AF filtering on ATi) - Blur-O-Vision.

as for the "nvidia doesn't optimize for games!" bit, it is true - they do not. Even doom3 has an alternate code path in it, and you can switch off any or all of nvidia's driver optimizations - your choice (without busting everything by being retarded and switching things like hierarchical z off as well, but, given the hilarious rendering problems ATi's z optimizations used to cause them in early radeons I sort of understand why they are keen to switch it off).

Of course the fanatics hate to hear that, they prefer to believe they are hard done by. They hate it even more when things like "QUAK", "3dmurk", "trylinear", "Half-Life 2", "DIRT 2", (ironic naming on the last title btw  ) get brought up as proof positive that ATi actively otpimizes games in ways consumers cannot control.

Oh any we mustn't forget the Ati Doom3 shader replacements - that was especially hilarious given that the fanatics always accused nvidia of shader replacement, yet could never provide one single example outside of 3dmark03 of it happening (I believe that was the straw that broke Baumann's back and led him to ban me).

Why would I be intersted in your picture Neliz? (it obviously fake anyhow). I was well and truly cured of rumor mongering after nv3x.

Fermi and its derivatives will be what they will be. As I've said in this forum I might decide not to purchase Fermi 1 and wait upon Fermi 2 depending on how things turn out.

So, if you are trying to come here and pick a speculation fight with me over Fermi you won't get very far at all. I know nothing other than what nvidia has leaked, and you have way more speculative posts containing personal opinion on the topic at B3D than I do or ever will.

speaking of DIRT 2, here is an interesting observation. The demo has no trouble rendering with SLI enabled, the full game won't allow it. What has ATi been up to?

You guys , it's not the driver , it's the exe from dirt2 full game that is the problem. I ran dirt2 demo in full sli with no problem , full game not possible.
Why?? Maybe because it's ATI sponsord??? If i put the exe from demo in the full game it works full sli but you can't save your wins and can't go online.
There is something with that exe from the full game , they need to patch it.
I believe this time it's not nvidia but codemaster , i hope they still can fix it.

You had better believe I will be closely monitoring how this turns out.

A fix for that was already announced on the 16th and the poster already acknowledged there's something wrong with the DiRT2 profile (i.e. exe detection)

I'm probably registered at AT as well, as neliz but I don't think I post there, (why should I?)

Also funny that Digitimes writes an article about Fermi being delayed until March a couple of days after I wrote it here. They seem to follow me like the terrible yields on A1 and production "go" for A3. :/

Rubbish! Nothing has been officially addressed by codemasters, there are no patches.
http://au.codemasters.com/games/index.php?gameid=2958

There are some hotfix drivers for ATi users, but, if you read the post I quoted again, you will see we are talking about SLI, not crossfire, plus, the demo works just fine in SLI mode!
