I think I have enough now to rate Geforce GT 545.. the hardest challenge ever! Xbitlabs has been doing some more benchmarks on it in game performance reviews. Wish me good luck - I'll be back with a rating!

Thanks.. yeah, there are 2 versions - the DDR3 and the GDDR5 version. They have different bus widths (128-bit and 192-bit) and also different number of ROPs according to Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_500_Series ) . I do not even know where the Wikipedia editor got that info from.. but it's probably a very good guess given that the ROPs have always been tied with the bus. I went ahead and rated them at 48 and 56 VP respectively. Yay, now it's outta the way.. it was just very very difficult to try to approximate the overall gaming conditions, taking the shader muscle, texturing power, memory bandwidth, and ROP back-end output all into perspective, while making sure it's in-line with other similarly-performing cards like 8800GTX and not coming too close to GTS 450 or being slower than 8800GT that has far lesser specs. The DDR3 memory seems to be severely bottlenecking the GT 545.. only the 24 ROPs seem to allow it to do fairly well with 4x AA as Xbitlabs has shown, but with AA turned off, the 6670 with only 8 ROPs would come out ahead.

Leaving for Thanksgiving holiday for the week to my friend's new apartment in Manhattan.. when I come back, I think I need to do an investigation to see whether the HD 6670 behaves like a VLIW4 GPU or VLIW5 one, like I concluded the Barts architecture to be based on VLIW4 rather than VLIW5 as one of the slideshows from AMD stated (since the performance of Barts being nearly 20% higher than possible if it were VLIW5 would only be possible with VLIW4).

Update: Added Geforce GTX 560 Ti-448 1.25GB, at 146 VP! Does it seem right?

It should be at reference clocks, well ahead of the GTX 560 Ti and just behind the GTX 570. The FTW version is mostly equal with the GTX 570.

This by far is the best GPU list on the internet. Tom's has something similar, but for a quick compare, this wins hands down!!
