wasn't being rude in a personal way at all. Just pointed out you are saying that nvidia is pushing Stereo 3D as an advantage over AMD -- PR hype in other words, and while you are saying that, there is barely a post or article from you at ABT that does not mention nvidia's S3D in some way. It is a fairly ironic stance seen in that light.

OK .. i might have been overly sensitive when i see you say i am "pushing" 3D Vision - or peddling it because Nvidia has some kind of influence on my site by offering HW bribes. It is nothing of the sort and i AM touchy when that gets mentioned. If you didn't mean that, then i'm sorry for my response. i am evaluating it now. i have taken three months of my life to learning all about it - and i think using well over 70 games is more than fair. It is the topic of the moment. i have taken most of my HW evaluations and put them on hold while i play games and write about S3D. No worries, it will be back to normal HW reviews here with the addition of more games in my evaluations, 5760x1080 reviews and and addition of S3D into my evaluations because i want ABT to be at the forefront of S3D gaming. It is a conscious decision and choice that i made - however, i was optimistic and thought i could do it much quicker. i could have - but then i would not be thorough. If we had more writers, it would be more varied here. There is SO much HW we could review if we had the reviewers to do it. Look how long it has been since we saw a CPU cooler review - or a case review. i am dying to get those features back at ABT. Applicants welcomed

All I will say there is nobody but you and nvidia really know what agreement/contract you signed together to evaluate the hardware, and to an unthinking outside observer yours posts do superficially resemble the sort that someone like Rollo would make (without the constant opposition insults and putdowns of other posters). How do observers know the difference between something viral and something that looks like it could be viral? No accusations, just something to ponder.

How? there is consistency in both cases. Rollo consistently supports Nvidia no matter what. The difference is that i get to think for myself. Now since i wanted to add S3D to ABT, asking Nvidia for a review kit (and AMD also) seemed like the logical thing to do. There is no further HW investment - the displays are very useful for Surround/Eyefinity - and i can replay my old games. The only issue was my own personal investment in time - to neglecting other HW reviews. When a reviewer spends 3 months on a project, he tends to talk about it. Look back over the past 2-1/2 years - it has always been this way

Given the amount of 3D pushing/peddling you personally have been doing here, I don't think you are in any position to complain.... Was this a condition of you receiving the 3D Vision kit in the first place? I was accused of the same thing at Rage 3d. But, the key is all a poster, reviewer, person has is their strong convictions and mind-set not to follow just what one company does. Going to use myself as an example: When Stereo3d disappeared based on the industry moved to LCD's; the technology wasn't there yet for LCD's. When nVidia touted this: http://www.cnet.com.au/nvidia-to-make-a ... 288550.htm innovation was on its way in this important area. It really is simple logic to me: Why on Earth would gamers desire in the future to play 3d games on 2d flat screens and isn't it about time we move forward from this? It's not about nVidia vs AMD but about trying to bring more quality to improve upon the limitations of stereo3d so it may be more seamless for gamers moving forward to me. Was there at the very beginning of 3d vision and purchased my hardware. GPU physics: Games are really static and personally believe the Physics is the next frontier; to allow more dynamic action on the screen and for games. Did go bonkers when nVidia and ATI were discussing GPU Physics, while working with Havok and HavokFX. Was all excited about the prospect of GPU processing and dynamic gaming mostly through the web-stream event from ATI and their CEO at the time Dave Orton: http://techreport.com/articles.x/10956/1 When nVidia purchased PhysX, was excited because this translated into not waiting as long for open standards to take hold for dynamic gaming and there would be some content offered and the innovation ball would start rolling. Some people like blame pies and pointing fingers and mine is aimed more-so at Intel for purchasing Havok and taking away the choice of HavokFX. It's really not about nVidia but more-so about believing what is important for games in the future. I strongly believe that Stereo3d and dynamic gaming are important to improve upon the gaming experience and for any technology vehicle, any company, anyone that tries to improve upon the gaming experience, specifically for the PC.

I must say I'm most amused at where the 6850 ends up on the 1920x1080 DX11 graph, given the insistence from the fanATIcs that it is a better card (somehow, yet can't even manage EQAA) than GTX 460. The GTX 460 SE is flogging it and the GTS 450 is dead even in performance (a card the fanATIC's love to try and put down). Remember folks, this is the 6850, not the 5850, that's right the newer card..... Neither 5850 or 6870 can catch the GTX 460 768 btw, so I guess the claims from the fanATIcs on the other performance about extra memory helping MAD and holding nvidia back are (as expected) pure fantasy. http://imageshack.us/f/856/phpthumbgene ... umbnh.jpg/

In one game that Nvidia paid $2M for? All you have to do is move the AMD Tessellation slider down a notch At any rate, i am looking to pick up Crysis 2 for myself this weekend; i am looking for a sale and i already have the patches and pack d/led (on my "free" day)
