With 1120 stream processors, 56 texture units and 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface, it is no wonder that AMD claims it is up to 25 percent faster than "any other announced notebook enthusiast GPU". The Radeon HD 6990M has reference clocks of 715MHz for the GPU and 3600MHz for memory.

Looks just like Barts XT, but at a lower clock. Now, that's one fast gaming laptop, at least as fast as a GTX 460 2GB for the desktop.

Any good competition now for this 6990M? I'm a bit behind in tech during my summer getaway.

however evidently the 580 M isn't enough for DX11 Crysis 2
- two would be good
