Well, grstanford and BoFox, like we say here, who laughs in last, laughs better.
You were both so stubborn and seriously unpolite that I ended up asking, and here is the answer.

I'll save you the trouble of opening the link:

Here you have it, right from the horses mouth.
Just as I said that was an old pic of a GF100 diagram, not a GK100/GK110.

Now whos lacking brains? An apology would be accepted.

Nope, no apology for you.

Wrong image. Thats a GF100 card layout. The image you wanted to show doesnt even have the chip and memory places on the card, although it has a huge fan intake.

As I said then and I'll repeat now, I posted exactly the image that intended to post. The fact that it ultimately turned out to be fake (which I was pretty much expecting because I didn't and still don't believe GK110 is ready yet) is beside the point. So take your "wrong image" crap and stuff it up your arse, sideways.

Well, you DID insist it was a GK100/GK110, and thats why you did insult me. And, what a surprise, you insulted again.
Anyway, hope you feel good about your own pride by mistaking quite foolishly a GF100 diagram for a GK100/GK100 one and making a tempest on a glass of water just because someone pointed it.
And oh, take some medicine that will help you ease up the dazing feeling you got from spinning so much.

Note to Appopin: There have been discussions on this forum about it being more "open", "friendly", etc than other forums around, because there are no shills. While the no shills part is arguably true, never forget that are not only shills who can spoil a good discussion environment. People like the quoted above can also contribute to lower the level and quality of discussion.

As for me, Ill refrain to make anymore contributions to this forum, despite liking Appopin's unique insight and attitude. You can say that I did not do any contribution to it, but Ill disagree: Its quite possible you would still be having a pointless discussion based on a GF100 board someone thought it was a GK100/GK110, if I didnt pointed it out so soon.

Regards,
Picao

Thank-you for your contribution. You are very welcome to post here. And if you continue, i would highly suggest you put a certain hot-tempered individual on your 'enemy' list. You will never see another one of his emotionally charged posts again (unless it is in a nested quote).

He has never apologized once in the ten or so years i have seen his posting at any forum.

i'll apologize for him in behalf of our forum.

OK, back to discussion. Let's look at AMD's likely short-term strategy (and i am assuming that they believe that HD 7970 is getting spanked by Nvidia's Kepler)

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentatio ... 4195&lid=1

Quote:
n CeBIT, SAPPHIRE will preview a new super-overclocked HD 7970 model with 6GB of memory, aimed at the real hardcore enthusiast - and look out for the first cards in the brand new HD 7800 series!

If they have any good sense, AMD will do the same thing that they did when the GTX 480 launched. They will send these cherry-picked Tahiti overclockers to the tech sites just before Kepler is launched. We got a PowerColor HD 5870 OC from AMD three days before the GTX 480 launched in an attempt to rain on Nvidia's parade back then.
(We had to buy our own Diamond HD 5780 already to do the comparison; and the Diamond overclocked better as the reference version since the voltage could be adjusted unlike the cheaper PowerColor non-reference version; but then we had CrossFired HD 5780s)

Although i doubt we will get one this time. You think? It is AMD's M.O. - watch for SuperClocked Sapphire HD 7970s in all of the Kepler review articles)

Actually if you read my original post of the PCB picture and my post prior to this one you will see that I actually said "unless this PCB pic is a fake" and referred to it as an "alleged GK110/100 PCB diagram elsewhere" ..........

Only after explaining myself and still being told the image was wrong. I don't suffer fools gladly.

Picao84 can post as he pleases here -- I don't care, so long as he leaves me in peace.

Pointless IMO. Everyone (except the FanATIcs) would see it as the desperation move that it is/would be. Mind you AMD is very fond of these sort of moves, so you never know.

1- That PCB diagram is not fake. It was a real PCB diagram for a GF100 board;
2- It was never implied by anyone, but you, that it was an "alleged GK110/100 PCB";
3- It was all a result from a reading compreension fail from yours.

And dont take again the "fail" part as serious as you did before. Everyone fails sometimes. I know I do. :)
It will do you more good in the long run to try to understand what someone is telling you, instead of going all berserk right from the start. :)

Peace

EDIT: *sigh* I said ONE time the image was wrong. After that, the discussion went on about wether the image you posted was an alleged GK100 board diagram or just a GF100. And it was on that base that you insulted me.
