Of course there are grains of truth; but he doesn't even recognize them .. Char lie uses the shotgun approach which scatters enough FUD and BS that he can always point to ONE grain out of a thousand

Is there an tech event or show coinciding with Char lie's date, March 12? Quote: Nvidia sent out announcements to a lot of people asking if they could join the company for the launch on March 12th.

GDC is from 3-5 to 3-9, and CeBit is from 3-6 to 3-10. It seems nvidia could have 3-12 all to themselves.

My suspicion (and that is all it is) is that March 12 or a similar date will mark the "launch" of a Kepler White Paper and/or NDA lock down, after nvidia shows cards off at CeBit.

I'll bet that it will just be a midrange part coming out and it won't beat the 7970.

Would you believe anything Charlie says? I'll bet that there will be a GK104 variant that won't beat 7970 and its name will be GTX 670. I'll bet that there will be a GK104 variant that is slightly better than GTX 580 and its name will be GTX 660, and I'll bet that there will be a GK104 variant that beats or matches 7970 and its name will be GTX 680. I'll also bet that people will be amazed (and dismayed if the are AMD supporters/employees) by how well nvidia's new mid-range "mouse that roars" GPU can perform. As for believing "anything" Charlie says? Definitely not, unless there is independent evidence to back him up (see post # 360)
