So with the Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo II installed, I'm only at 47C under full load overclocked to 1200mhz on the core and 5600mhz on the memory. I'm going to try for a higher memory overclock now and see what it does. The fan is only spinning at 35% and is dead silient. I think I still have some more headroom. That's at least a 35C temperature drop from before (!).

At stock speeds it was at 35C under full load (!).

I'm happy now. In the future I should be able to get another ~10% out of this card by adding voltage.

I'm topping out at 53C running Bitcoin. The computer is dead silent when I mine now so I can go back to doing it more often.

If it weren't for the installation I would install it on all my future GPUs.

That said, now that I know how to do it, I might transfer it onto whatever I get down the line. I wouldn't bother with the mini ramsinks, though, I think they're useless and just a PITA.

Hey guys I just wanted to come back and post in here my impressions after a few days.

I *love* this cooler. My computer is *dead* silent. I'm completely happy with the 7850 now. It's overall faster, smoother, and quieter than my GTX 460 SLI setup, plus I no longer run out of vram and it's cooler and more energy efficient as well!

Congratulations! Just don't tell your wife that you love your PC.

Yeah this one *was* a quest. Very rewarding in the end, though.

I just had a look inside my case and I don't think I could fit a pair of cards with triple-slot coolers like that, unfortunately. I mean, I think they would physically fit but I'm not sure about the practicality. They would have no room to breathe.

It will probably be better to sell my 7850 and just get a better card, anyway.
