Why bother to single anyone out? AMD employees post at ATF forums without disclosure and evidently AMD is OK with it even though it is in direct conflict with their own social media policy i would say however, that getting their butts kicked first by Intel and now by Nvidia because of their incredible lack of foresight has put more pressing matters on their plate than their viral shills being exposed. i think one of you should send a link to my blog to the Consumerist. They like to investigate and they may have more resources than we do. http://consumerist.com/They are related to Consumer Reports and they will get AMD to respond http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Consumerist

Idontcare confirmed that AMD employees post there. One of the stealth shills even posted information from AMD the instant i would get it from AMD PR. When i called their Edelman rep on it, they did not deny anything; rather he admitted - "we saw the posts, we don't care"
The really bad thing is that AMD's top PR evidently agrees with the shills. Chris Hook has not even bothered to respond to my evidence as he promised - and it has been over two weeks. AMD PR is seriously screwed up from to bottom. They have proven that they are not ethical as far as i can see. Like I mentioned a while ago, Mark, Chris Hook probably knew everything that was going on, but his PR instinct told him to be nice and compliant with you while on the phone with you, in emails, put out the fires. Shoot from the hip instinct. It won't be very much longer now when they realize that "we can only bullshit the public for so long until they are completely fed up". ::: Breaks out the Orville Reddenbocker :::

As i said, pass on my blog to the Consumerist web site. If you really care, just do it.
They have major resources to investigate and publicize this if they find our complaint has merit
Yes, Chris Hook is clearly covering for his underlings. When he tried to deny that AMD is involved in Stealth Marketing, i brushed him off with, "we already met Nigel Dessau's friend David Makin as he tried to recruit ABT as an AMD Flog when we first started"
That caught him by surprise.

It's going to be hard for AMD to "police" these people off of the forums, particularly if they're doing it of their own accord.

Yep, if the gtx670 is everything the tweak town review shows, then AMD is going to have to price the hd7970 between $380-$420. I think it will end up at the high end of that estimation - $419.99. This is really, really sad. Priced way too high from the start, and it's not until their competition takes them to school do the drop prices substantially - TWICE.

They encourage their employees to post on tech forums .. and Chris claimed that they make it clear that their employees must identify themselves Well guess what? In the history of AMD, including B3D which is just about owned by them - only ONE employee has EVER identified himself in his signature -JFAMD You think he is the only AMD employee that has ever posted on tech forums? Intel employees are proud to identify themselves. Nvidia hasn't been allowed to post at all until recently. Ir0x0r/David Makin is an AMD shill - an viral organizer who worked with AMD's lan parties and he posted as AMDguy at ATF without any transparency ...

Do you think any of us will even see a free game? Nvidia refunded the difference honorably on the GTX 280 launch; even though the GTX 280 was not eclipsed by the HD 4870 Their Vision is cloudy

I keep saying that the 7850 is a $200 or a $149 card. It won't be long now.

I think it's either going to come in between $399-$419 a month after the gtx670 has retail availability OR, the more likely scenario, AMD will re-release the hd7970 in one month as the hd7970 ghz edition (all future hd7970 reference models will be 1ghz) and keep the price where it is at now, or drop it $20-30 ($450ish is my lowest guess). AMD is slow to react, so they'll just get clobbered on the forums for the next month or so. And regarding the gtx280 rebate/refund, the release time between the gtx280/gtx260 and hd4870/hd4850 was measured in days - as in like 5-7 days. The gtx680's retail availability came 10 weeks or so after the hd7970. I think 30 days is what most companies use as a measure to send out rebates in the midst of price drops. All in all, the supposed performance of the gtx670 is really impressive. If/when Nvidia decides to release a third tier GK104-based card (gtx660???), it will likely be priced to hammer away at the hd7870 and will probably end up beating it in a comparable fashion to the gtx670 and hd7950. Nvidia seems like they don't let any dies go to waste, so I'm almost guaranteeing this will happen. I wonder if using GK104 in 3 desktop SKU's was Nvidia's plan all along, because the rumored GK106 specs seems like such a big drop from GK104.
