"Between the AMD Radeon HD 7970 and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 gameplay was nearly identical across the board. In our Highest Playable Settings tests we found that both video cards were playable at 2560x1600 with AA enabled, 16X AF, and High settings. We were also able to increase LOD Distance to Far. At these settings the Radeon HD 7970 averaged 47 FPS while the GeForce GTX 680 averaged 44.6 FPS. The overall gameplay experience went to the GeForce GTX 680 however which had much more consistent framerates during the entire run-through while the Radeon HD 7970 which had more noticeably spiking framerates. None the less, both video cards delivered an enjoyable gameplay experience with most of the games highest settings available."

And the hits just keep on coming...

They've now recommend the 680 for Single, Two, and Triple Configs. I imagine if they did Quad it would be recommended for an overall smoother gaming experience.

Never mind the Helicopter that shows up in the game during demanding scenes
-- it isn't for rescue .. it is to break immersion
