Bueno!

There should be a public announcement today, but I have been allowed to share this info right now:
- AMD will end monthly Catalyst driver releases starting with Catalyst 12.5 (which won't exist). They have decided to focus harder on quality and improvements vs regular updates which may not bring many new things. This way there will be no need for two separate driver development paths every month: one to get the official WHQL driver and another that keeps doing the regular driver development.
- We should expect more "hot fixes" and "preview drivers" when new games are released or urgent fixes are required.
- There is a beta driver we are testing right now that fixes the Eyefinity tearing on the third monitor when mixing outputs. I have verified that it works with Souther Islands based cards, so I don't know if it will work with previous cards. Anyway, if no major issues are found, this driver should be publicly available next week.
good!

Good news perhaps. Although it might make the driver team lazy, putting them on a tight schedule while downsizing their driver team might have not been their wisest move. i am glad to see they can acknowledge their mistake and fix it.
And i got the tearing right in my GTX 670 evaluation

Eyefinity has more noticeable tearing in some games on one side screen and sometimes in both and VSync is not applied because the framerates are usually below 60 at 5760×1080. Tearing is more noticeable on AMD Eyefinity than it is on Nvidia’s Surround, and it is especially noticeable with AMD’s more recent drivers.
The HD 6000 series had tearing but it was tolerable. There is always some tearing with VSync off – however in some games – even with Deus Ex: HR – the left screen looks like half of it is refreshing at a different rate and it really draws attention to itself.
And i mentioned eyefinity tearing in my conclusion; it got that annoying. i am glad AMD is fixing it - at least for 7000 series.
