Maybe because it is *also* a 3-letter named company beginning with "A"

Being a fanboy is obviously part of his personality. He loves nVidia and now Intel.

There is an ARM chip of some description in my mobile, and my sister has an iPad 2 for her young kids. They are slow garbage that spend 99.999% of their time doing nothing or as close to doing nothing as is possible, which is where their so-called "energy-efficiency" comes from. When you ask them to perform a complex computational task they are hopeless.

Their efficiency comes from their design more than anything. x86 is full of bloat.

I do as well but it's not to the point of completely discounting the other manufacturers. Although I am getting close to that point with AMD.

AMD got plenty of "love" out of me back when they actually genuinely competed.
You couldn't pay me to use ATi due to their sleazy employees and their tactics. Not to mention all the rendering shortcuts they have taken over the years and flatout denied, and the cataclysm drivers.

You said it about AMD graphics instead, as apoppin pointed out, and I've read the AT thread.
