Just a reminder that *we* like discussing financials
:)

They're probably doing quite well:

i am going to suggest that Nvidia is having an excellent year from Kepler Tesla K-10 pre-orders and orders, and from a record year for selling their top 3 GPUs at superb margins - all they can make; and from their mobile lineup

i wonder when Wall Street investors will finally give them the thumbs up to finally get them moving up in the market

I actually do!

Also like the engineering, strategy and planning -- there is a lot of talented minds, resources and work that goes into these GPU's that offer enjoyment for millions and millions. Certainly don't understand it all but enjoy learning and discovering things.

nvidia is selling unmanufacturerableless chips that obviously are completely the wrong direction architecturally because their management is too incompetent to comprehend the huge failure they are totally. They are certainly going belly up. This quarters call will show terrible losses. What a pity. While Jen-Hsun announces all their losses he will be heartbroken with envy thinking of how great AMD is in every imaginable way possible. If only nvidia could be half as successful as AMD......... they might only suck half as bad. Only stupid ppl buy nvidia, and i know because i am smart. I am smart because i have to be. i am the sensationalist...........

Orce's right I predict Nvidia's upcoming earnings will be the final nail in the coffin and they will soon go belly up, with AMD's monster 7950 that overclocks to the moon nvidia should save themselves the embaresment and close up shop now since there was obviously no point in anyone buying 670/680.

Hahaha very nice.

I anticipate Nvidia beating wall street's estimates this quarter, and probably for the rest of the year. Their mobile division scored two of the biggest contracts of the year worth talking about - Google's tablet and Microsoft's tablet. If Amazon's upcoming Kindle refresh also incorporates Tegra 3, LIGHTS OUT. Also, I think Nvidia's Tegra 4 delay had to do with Apple's A5X, and the fact that Apple essentially went with SLI gpu's (two GPU's on 1 SoC). I think that delivered a small gut shot to the mobile team and now they're taking the extra time to make Tegra 4's graphics performance significantly better.

dream on. just because they scored the two largest tablet deals ever and sell a staggering amount of chips on just these two tablet alone..... doesnt change the fact that their tegra is a total failure:

http://semiaccurate.com/2011/05/10/nvid ... -to-tegra/

http://semiaccurate.com/2011/08/04/a-lo ... 3-3-and-4/

http://semiaccurate.com/2011/10/19/nvid ... ps-a-year/

nvidia doesnt have a chance to compete in ARM because they have terrible management. hey cannot sell Tegra chips cause they suck sooo bad. If you still dont believe me, look at the links i provided. They prove that beyond a shadow of any thing like doubt, nvidia has failed and there is no chance tegra will ever be a success.

Also i would like to add that nvidia is getting out of the computer graphics business and only doing compute. I have a link for that to if you somehow doubt me......

http://semiaccurate.com/2009/10/06/nvid ... nd-market/

Quote:

NVIDIA abandons the high and mid range graphics card market. Due to a massive series of engineering failures, nearly all of the company’s product line is financially under water, and mismanagement seems to be killing the company.

..... Nvidia is in desperate shape, whoop-ass has turned to ash, and the wagons can’t be circled any tighter.

Massive engineering failures and cover-ups, starting with Bumpgate, have defined the company for the last two years. More recently, this includes the G212 failure, G214 fiasco and failure, now morphed into the G215 which is 3Q late so far, if it can ever be made profitably, and the G216 and G218 with the broken GDDR5 controllers. One or two failures are understandable, this many is flat out mismanagement.

As we have been saying all along, there is no savior chip, no plan B, they all failed. Nvidia can make chips and sell them at a loss, or retreat from those markets and lose less money. The only question now is whether or not it can fix its engineering problems and get competitive parts out before it runs out of cash. Given that the earliest that this can happen is next summer, it will be very touch and go.

Nvidia has alienated anyone who could be its friend, spawned needless lawsuits that very likely drive the company to a net negative value, and failed to sell the company while it still had a perception of worth. If you ask it, Nvidia will tell you that it is boldly turning itself into a vibrant GPU compute and cell phone chip giant. Should you want to remain in its good graces, this is not to be perceived as an exit strategy.

The only thing that can save Nvidia now is a wholesale replacement of top management. Sadly, the only people with enough shareholder leverage to do so are those very managers that need to go, so that is very unlikely. Unless there is a white knight or buyer in the wings, it is game over. At $1 per year, Jen-Hsun is overpaid.S|A

see. Nvidia SUCK bad

You really are wasting too much time at AMD Zon .. uh, VC&G and it is making you bitter
- or do you just like to debate the AMD employees there?
