Here is what i find interesting. i can call Rollo anytime and he comes .. like "candyman", 3 times in the mirror - to heap scorn on anyone who dares to "question" Nvidia = Here is what brought him salivating and ready for attack, this time: apoppin wrote: "the only thing that matters" does not seem to be gaining any traction - i don't see 3D anywhere am i not looking in the right places? - Ghostbusters should look great in 3-D Now i don't see any attack from me; just a question that i certainly DON'T see 3D vision - anywhere [and i am looking] .. and - as *usual* i certainly did NOT get any answers from Mr Nvidia's King of Viral Marketing what do you do f or Nvidia again? . . . for someone who is an "uneducated fool" i can sure play you like a violin - but then you have zero clue about what pulls your strings like a marionette.

I guess I don't agree with your definition of "epic fail".
1. The tech is the best tech of it's kind, by far. 2. I see people speaking highly of it on the PC Perspective forums, the nZone forums, and the Rage3d forums- so it has some market penetration. 3. Their main competitor, AMD, has alluded to entering that market as well. Apparently they don't think it's as much of a failure as you as they feel they need to compete. LOL 4. What qualifies you to judge it as a failure without knowledge of sales, profit, the experience, or user satisfaction? Because you're one of ABT's "industry professionals, available to help hardware and software vendors"? You'll have to pardon my skepticism- in my world degrees, certifications, and relevant work experience are all that matter. What were yours again? Do you remember any of it? - i read the unexpurgated version in Jr Hi - the one with the gay gods and bisexual Hercules 1. If Nvidia's 3D is the best .. why is there no traction? 2. Not "nZone" and the other viral marketing 3. "alluded" 4. What qualifies *anyone* to make judgments? - as a Consumer or whatever ? in your world, deceit and viral marketing are king .. please pardon my skepticism when you claim it might be successful in the absence of any sales figures 1. Do you see a lot of end users with 3 X GTX285, or 2 XGTX295 either? As hard as this is for you to believe, as the entry fee for 3d Vision is double the cost of AMD highest price high end part* every forum you visit won't be filled with 3d Vision users. (I'm thinking $600 for the 3d Vision kit and at least $200 worth of NVIDIA GPU) 2. Nice try. nZone is the end user forum, and the people posting in the 3d Vision forum are people who've bought it with the exception of me and Andrew Fear of NVIDIA. Rage3d is the ATi fansite, not real big on NVIDIA viral. PC Perspective forum guys have no connection to NVIDIA I know of. 3. I saw an interview linked to on AnandTech earlier this year wherein an ATi rep, I think Huddy, said they would be coming out with 3d this year. 4. The point is you hold yourself out to be an "industry professional" and for you to say the product is an "epic fail" carries different connotations than if an end user like me gives his opinion. People expect an "editor" of a tech site to be a guru, connected to the players on an intimate level. I don't think you're very connected, and you don't have any IT industry experience, and as far as I know you don't have any training in business analysis. Deceipt and viral marketing? Who do I deceive? Heck- I'm more honest than you- at least I am an IT/IS professional, just not in PC gaming. You're just a guy pretending to be one- THAT is pretty deceptive IMO. What experience do you bring to the table to be an "outstanding resource" to people who make a living at this? Also, what do sales have to do with something being a "success"? Does that mean no ATi cards are a "success" because they only sell 1/3 of the market? That no AMD cpus are a "success" because they only have 1/5 the market? Sales are only one measure of success.

Ah, now we finally see some serious attempts at answering my question 1. No we don't. But then we don't see Nvidia's vision fulfilled either: - WHERE ARE THE PUBLIC DISPLAYS THEY PROMISED? 2. That is neither here nor there; we know you are big on viral marketing and at least a few "loaner" 3D sets from EVGA made it out for review by the so-called "general public" 3. that IS interesting; do you have a link? 4. How do you know what "people expect"; you have been a mole - a hidden viral shill for Nvidia at Anandtech forum - for years until you got busted for lying - i wanted discussion on this and who else is there for me to annoy about it?; i don't SEE any traction and Now you are BACKPEDDLING and saying "sales are not a measure of success" - so ... i have to assume that i am right and that 3D vision acceptance must be disappointing to Nvidia thanks for the confirmation i wish you guys well with it; it is your marketing that is weak in this area /end analysis ==================== Quote: I'm a little more complex than the confines of this microcosm...... --- yet you claim to have no clue about metaphysics

LOL Talking to me isn't speaking to NVIDIA Apoppin. For someone who claims to know so much it always surprises me how you think I work for NVIDIA marketing.
I have no clue what sales are like for NVIDIA, and also don't know if they deem it a success or failure. Personally I still think "It's the only thing that matters" because it's hard to go back to 2d when you've seen it in 3d.

Your "marionette" comment was as obtuse as your misuse of the word equitable. An arrangement being fair in no way implies employment.

Marionettes are 100% controlled by the puppeteer. What percent of my life do you think I spend doing things remotely related to NVIDIA? What percent of the things I post online do you think NVIDIA approves of/knows of/cares about? it's true I do some things for NVIDIA, and it's true they do some things for me, but you have never understood what Focus group is like and even when you are told you prefer to believe it's something much more involved and sinister. You are a good example of why people should go to college and join the real world, rather than smoke pot and surf.

They have their "free time" also; just like you do i knew you before Focus Group; when you were AEG Viral and you lied through your teeth for Nvidia; never forget who you are trying to bullsh!t - i do understand Focus Group and have no issues with Keys, Chris Ray or the other fine upstanding members of that group you keep thinking - falsely - that somehow i do not like Nvidia. That could not be further from the truth. Nvidia is one of my very favorite companies; i love their product and their aggressiveness .. of course there are some things i do not agree with [like you, for example] - but that is no big deal - i do not plan to work for them although i would be glad to work with them on just about anything that would benefit both of our companies. i am a good example of doing things wrong? - yet i am happy and successful ... and you are posting at my site
