Have you? I heard it was worse than the first one, so didn't bother to try it out.

Haven't played the demo. I was going to order it from Amazon but decided to wait for the inevitable price drop.
The review in PC Gamer was raving about it and said that they were worried that it would be too different, but turned out to be just the opposite. I really got into the first one with 100's of hours of game time. I'll get it in a month or two.
I ordered Tropico 3 Gold Edition this morning from the Egg to tide me over.
