Basically PC gaming is on the rise while console gaming is flat

PC Hardware is 10 to 30 times faster than the consoles

And there are NO consoles in China and never will be - PC gaming is the growth industry there

PC gaming is exploding .. and consoles are stagnating

It's kinda old news and never understood the fear mongering when it did come to the PC platform. PC game revenue has been rising. If anything consoles have to worry about not only the PC but the tablet and smart phone markets. I'm glad nVidia offered some awareness here.

That's some serious fortune telling going on.

As soon as the new consoles are released, that graph is going to look ridiculous.

Why does the console revenue suddenly go down? Are they living under a rock? Do they not realize that Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony all have consoles essentially waiting in the wings?

And when the new consoles launch - in two years; PC gaming will again have more marketshare and mindshare.

You got to remember that Nvidia and AMD mostly make the GPUs for the next generation.

When the new consoles launch they will cost about $500-$750 and games will be regularly $80
- in the meantime, PC gaming launches a new model which is much cheaper - and with luck, MS and Sony will go out of (the console) business when their overpriced junk flops

All this fortune telling.

PC gaming has never been at the top. The best games have always been on the consoles.

AMD and nVidia both make the GPUs for the consoles, however that doesn't mean much in terms of which platform will do better or which platform will have better hardware for that matter.

If I were to pull out my crystal ball I would argue that the next Xbox will definitely use a "future" GPU, similar to what they did with the Xbox 360. I could see them going with AMD again as they are in all likelihood quite happy with the way things turned out for them with the 360, but who knows. AMD does seem to do better with the console GPUs.

...there it is. I can see it. There are no more consoles. There are no more computers. They are all intrinsically bound to our metastasized brains. The computers are all in our heads.

It is metaphysical.

The very model for the way people are buying games is changing. Digital D/Ls are the future - no more box. No one wants to pay $80 for 6 hours of gaming when you can get engrossing games for free and F2Play is what the PC online is becoming.

Consoles will have to be completely rethought for them to survive. Consider that everything will be mobile gaming and that it will look as well as next gen consoles. And the PC will support 6 screens in 3D - the consoles will not be able to keep up. Many companies (like Epic) will fail.
