Clearly the specs are a mess

There are three sets ... minimum, recommended and high

Yeah that would make sense,i think we are still faraway from that kind of game where an i7-3930K is the recommended option.

It's released and it costs $60 everywhere

. . . and i got a key about a couple of hours before my undocumented bandwidth 2 day period ended

mixed emotions; the timing sucks as i only have 17GB of monthly downloads available and i can't even manage to D/L 20GB on the undocumented day at the end of June.

This is probably one of the first games I'll play when I really get back to gaming sometimes soon.. maybe in my afterlife!

As a dad of 4, it's hard!!!!!! I only got to play 20 minutes of UT2004 Onslaught today for the 1st time in 2-3 weeks, and I pwned them like a virgin male lion who has just defeated the old alpha male would pwn the entire pride within a matter of minutes!

it's just like the first two - with better graphics. Basically, it is a movie where one cutscene leads to action seamlessly. Sometimes you don't even notice you are supposed to react. i like the graphics. Everything fully maxed out at 2560x1600 and with FXAA very high. Seems smooth, but i haven't used Fraps.

The story is what makes this game .. and the narration. And i really like the setting. Sao Paulo.

So far, so good. i spent $60 on this game, and just seeing Max Payne 3 seemed worth it - so far. Over the top violence and it definitely pays homage to the first two games. The nightclub scene reminds you of others but this one is got the graphics and the atmosphere perfectly.

:hello:

Yes, it IS that good

Still on the second chapter, hanging on to a helicopter with one hand, shooting RPGs fired at the helicopter with the gun in the other

It is challenging. i'd like to see someone play it without bullet time :P

And it gets you mad at the enemy NPCs; you put a few extra shots into them - just to be sure. Headshots or groin shots. And you have a timer counting down much of the time, so you have to hurry (or the hostages get killed)

Lovin' it, so far. Just like the old Max Payne with great graphics. It gets so intense, you just have to take a break to post about it
:tease:

Oh yeah ... back to work

Work?
(ROFLMAO)

Yep, work
:yahoo:

How do the graphics compare to Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3? Are there nice DX11 effects like tessellation?
