Go do some testing on your Ivy bridge before embarrassing yourself further than you already have.

You already have embarrassed yourself by weakly pointing to task manager as "proof" of anything and posting ugly videos that prove *nothing*.
:tease:

i have already tested HyperThreading on Sandy Bridge.
--FACT: Crysis performs exactly the same to slightly worse when HT is enabled on a DUAL-core CPU

There will be no difference in Crysis performance on a dual-, quad- or hex or octo-core CPU. Only *two* cores are utilized for Crysis; other tech sites support my findings.
---OtOH you have absolutely nothing to show and you are too stubborn to test it further.
:hello:

Task manager shows processor utilization of the system, how is that "weak proof"? (hint: it isn't "weak proof", rather it's definitive results, in real-time). You and your fellow reviewers are just flat out wrong on this, and testing on an i3 proves nothing, especially when you have an i7 you could quickly and easily test, but refuse to do so, because it would show me to be correct and you incorrect.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Task_Manager

Performance

The performance tab shows overall statistics about the system's performance, most notably the overall amount of CPU usage and how much memory is being used. A chart of recent usage for both of these values is shown. Details about specific areas of memory are also shown.

There is an option to break the CPU usage graph into two sections; kernel mode time and user mode time. Many device drivers, and core parts of the operating system run in kernel mode, whereas user applications run in user mode. This option can be turned on by choosing Show kernel times from the View menu. When this option is turned on the CPU usage graph will show a green and a red area. The red area is the amount of time spent in kernel mode, and the green area shows the amount of time spent in user mode.

The rest of the informed tech world is wrong and you are right?
(ROFLMAO)

According to you, testing on an i3 with HT on vs off proves nothing? It proves that Crysis doesn't use more than 2 cores and HT is useless for that game.
(hamster)

You could test too and prove yourself to be wrong. Simply go into BIOS and disable HT and rerun your same Crysis run
- all you are seeing now is Windows reallocating resources when Crysis starts.

Bullshit! There are no resources to reallocate when Crysis starts as you can see in the video. The graphs go from showing no activity (idling at the desktop) to running Crysis full tilt.

Just like the learned men of Galeleo's time who insisted the world was flat when he said it was actually round............

Galeleo?
(ROFLMAO)

You are misinterpreting what you see. Crysis does not use more than two cores.

Prove it for yourself or stay ignorant. Rerun your Crysis run with HT disabled.
- and enough of your ridiculous excuse; rerun it or stfu

i'm done with discussing with you. It has already been proven by other reviewers and if Crysis can't make use of dual core with HT, it can't effectively use a Quad-core with HT.

Of course you are done discussing with me. You've been caught in a lie with no way out.

You are the one that has been caught in a lie again just like with Oblivion.

ReRun Crysis with HT disabled. 'Galeleo' was an honorable man who actually provided proof - not a screenshot of windows task manager like the Pope did

What about Oblivion?

Don't worry, you'll get your hyper-threading disabled video, it's being recorded right now.
