I like hunting these

Dat's mah baby, my own customized AR15 built using the core components of a S&W M&P 15, but completely hand rebuilt around it.

Before anybody asks, yes, you want both iron sights and the holo-optic. For one, never know when you won't have batteries. For two, when I do have batteries, using both together at range gives me sub-MOA accuracy, perfect for picking off those 200+ yard shots. Obviously, for home defense use, the irons stay down because they only get in the way of a fast shot, the holo-optic rules CQB. But for hunting use, the irons would definately be up and used in co-witness with the Eotech. Also, obviously, I wouldn't have a topped off 30 round mag either. 5 shots is all your supposed to have loaded for mid sized or larger game.

It's like building a PC, but much more frustrating at times. But for an all-purpose rifle, there's none I can recommend higher then a well built AR15. Home defense, range plinking, zombie apolcalypse, varmet and up to mid sized game hunting, there's a reason the AR15 is called a Sport Utility Rifle. To call one an assault rifle is a terrible misnomer.
