The point is that programmers have *already* created AI so advanced that most people cannot tell if they are chatting with non-human AI or not. They have been working on this (successfully) for over FIFTY years!

We know for a FACT that AI bots *do* infiltrate forums. Check the Wikipedia link if you have doubts .. and look at one thread in our own forum:

it attracts bots and some of us have replied to it/them
- and we only have the low-level AI spam bots left here; i banned most of the other ones that "talk back" and are more aggressive.

The bots also have "handlers" - their programmers to assist and teach the bot forum etiquette
- you can actually see that happen on occasion when the bot get 'stuck'.

Now, that example you offered in your forum, where is the advancement in AI besides attracting other bots? Where does the bot carry a debate with humans, seems to attract other bots.

- all that is left is limited-intelligence (if you can call it that) spam bots (and some of them may be sleepers)
