You might have noticed that i replied that i NEVER made a bad video card purchase
- not even 2900XT which i got on a great sale and kept in my PC for a year while others b!tched about it; heck it lead me to CrossFire-X -
-eventually AMD refined it and we have a decent competitor to GT200 in the 4XX0 series; they survived with almost no R&D money as they have been operating at a loss for over 2 years

Cheap is not bad for the consumer as long as the vendors have sense to keep their profit margins intact;
they know what they need for R&D
