The whole video forum is insane over there.
I have no self-image issues over brands. We happily purchase plain-label and store brand goods and pocket the savings, provided the quality is there and the gadgets do what they are meant to. You don't accrue wealth by spending money unnecessarily, and I could care less what anybody else thinks of our purchasing habits or possessions.

Not everyone. Some very thoughtful posters also post there. They had a great crew and good discussions even though there was rampant fanboyism and viral marketing. And the first attempt at moderating it was good; however, they only have one really good mod over there (idk) and he is doing less and less modding.
It will wear anyone out. During the first 3 months that Keys and i were the first video mods, i had over 1,000 PMs and i did not post at all as a member or a mod in video.

I was going to say that AT Video forum would wear down any mod anywhere. Oh well, at least while the loonies post there, they leave the rest of the internet mostly alone, so its not a total loss.

It will wear anyone out. During the first 3 months that Keys and i were the first video mods, i had over 1,000 PMs and i did not post at all as a member or a mod in video. 1,000 PM's? No wonder the mods (in general) are so irritable.. I love it here where it's quiet and nice! I have no idea what I'd do if I were a mod myself... never been one! Something in me tells me that I'd excel at correcting the errors and flaws presented by others, but with 1,000 PM's in 3 months.. nah, I'd probably be worn out by then! One thing is that I've learned is to not ban anybody unless it is absolutely, totally viral (there might be some who are presenting truths while being persecuted by one of the mods or some of the community, and ABT is a great place for everybody to have a chance). Everybody has a right to lie. By then I'd just be saying "whateverthef**k" to every fanboi, instead of banning them. To those who tie themselves to their brands as a part of self-image, I'd just say "grow up, you brand-image boy" and use one of my hot keys to post this comment.

Well, i moderated by PM -- i only issued one short ban in the 3 months and i did not post at all in Video while i moderated. That was the only way to do it at the time and keep peace in the forum. A moderator doesn't get involved in the discussion at all. Ideally, mods would not be interested in Video at all - they would be there just to cool down the discussions, keep it on track and eliminate the hurtful personal attacks - not to correct inaccurate posts.

Hmm! Yeah, that's a completely laissez-faire approach to moderating, just to make sure the forums are kept in order. All the more reason ABT rules!

Quote: As a standard AMD's 3.6GHz Core 2.0 running and Turbo 4.2GHz technology up to the FX-8150 8-core processor that can automatically be presented the $ 245 level will go above 5GHz with overclocking speaking, in terms of number of cores in the market will be the most aggressive model processor, $250 will be offered at a price that's below. 3.1GHz AMD's running on and automatically movable to 4GHz's Turbo Core 2.0 with 8-core processor, the FX-8120 from the $205 level will be presented. 6-core 3.3GHz model and in the standard operating speed of 3.6GHz automatically to FX-6100 processor to market in the $175 level. http://www.donanimhaber.com/islemci/hab ... yatlar.htm Ahh, I'd be tempted to get the FX-8120 if it can normally overclock to 5 GHz, and be on par with my Core i7 920's performance clock-for-clock! That's pretty cheap for an 8-core CPU.. let's hope the rumors will stand!

According to Bright Side of News, Intel raised their SB prices about 9% in Europe recently - and it is not dollar vs euro fluctuations
interesting Still the same price here for now.
