There is no strawman. Either intel are being truthful about Medfield or they are not. Almost all your replies to this thread imply that you believe they are not being truthful. Just because AMD lies its sorry arse off doesn't mean intel does too.

Hey, may I jump in as Dr. Phil the psychologist (sounds better than a moderator)? Mimicking Dr. Phil's tone: "Let's cool off the personal insults and try to consider the topic at hand as civil adults." Just kidding!

Just because AMD lies its sorry arse off doesn't mean intel does too. seriously. why are you passionately force feeding intels marketing pitch on a yet to be released CPU. Is there something wrong with ppl wanting to wait to have their own thoughts once they actually have the data to make for a complete analyst. I mean you yourself should know its not wise to base everything off of one source. I know your aware of this yet you keep persisting and pushing this down our throats. Its as if there is something wrong with us for not worshiping Intel and medfield as you do. Your nature is disturbing to me. I dont get why its so important for you to keep posting in the manner you do. We all have said we want to see the chip in action before we make any personal decisions on medfield. Yet you would rather us be blind machines that repeat Intel PR word for word. okay then you win "yes medfield is the greatest thing ever and ARM is going down." will that be enough sir?

I have presented more than one source in this thread, nearly all of them credible and professional they all say the same thing. The only doubters are people in forums.

All of your sources clearly state that these are projected figures on an unreleased chip that was done by Intel's marketing. We know that Nvidia and AMD's marketing tends to use "best case"; are you saying that Intel is different? And how do you know? You used to say the same thing about AMD CPUs with the very same kind of arguments you now make for Intel, and you recommended AMD CPUs exclusively until you recently switched to Intel in you own PC and for sale at your shop.

Well, both Intel and AMD changed. AMD for the worse Intel for the better. What has Intel got to gain by lying about Medfield. I really wonder if your opposition to it isn't driven by nvidia and their Tegra.

I mean, Intel is making more sincere, genuine-sounding statements about Medfield than they ever did about Larrabee, as grstanford has posted here, so let's just see how the finalized product turns out. I think it might be a bit more impressive than Atom, but still not better than ARM. At least Intel is going to really try, and Intel seems to be in it for the long haul.
