i am getting sick of reading this crap. i was there in the audience at Nvidia's GTC when JHH held up a mock-up of the GTX 480. He even answered one of my questions although i didn't phrase it well.

At NO TIME did ANYONE with a brain in the audience think that Jensen was holding up the finished product. It was also made very clear that Fermi was running the demos although it wasn't in finished and final form.

When i met later that same afternoon with Nvidia's representatives, i asked them dead on what Jensen was holding and they replied without hesitation:



i reported on it at the time on the main site and also here in the forums and other tech sites did also. Yet there are some that prefer the LIE to be spread instead. The same ones that accuse Nvidia of what they themselves are doing covertly at the other tech forums.

We knew that it was a mock-up; everyone paying attention - and ABT was not saying that Fermi was "imminent" as some were.

Well, they should've made it more clear that it was just a illustration example of what Tesla would look like. I think that they actually intended to mislead the conference who did not have eagle eyes at the moment. It should've just been clear, that's all (with the label "A non-fuctional illustration of what is now running the demonstration" .. maybe one of the guys forgot to put the label there right next to the card.. but I think not).

Better yet, they will probably never do this silly thing again as it was far more counter-productive than productive. lol.. lawl!!!

I also think the wood screw story is eye rolling, who cares, crap that doesn't have any significance to anything meaningful, especially here and now.

Yet it tells you something about the sh .. i mean posters who try to keep it alive despite it being a lie.

Which means when translated: These guys are dirty liars - in case you missed it. i won't debate with this kind of lost AI who knows what they are posting is propaganda. They have no soul.

There wasn't a single person in attendance at the GTC who did not know what Jensen was holding was a mock up. Or if they weren't paying attention, it was easily clarified.

Of course they will do it again and they have done it before with pre-production silicon. Perhaps Nvidia should have made it Pop-Out instead of Pop-In.

But the reviewers (messengers) who were there also, stated on their own sites that it was misleading??? I can't remember since it's so long ago now.

Those posters that continue like that usually hang themselves with their own wording.

Nvidia made it clear that the demos were on pre-production Fermi silicon. And Nvidia's reps had nothing to hide whatsoever as they unhesitatingly called it a "mock-up".
