Thankfully Rollo does not run OBR. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/sho ... ost5067006I think people misunderstood the post you quoted. He was saying that there was no way Sky could have met everyone, as Sky did not meet him (HIM, as in the person writing the post, as in Rollo). Rollo clarified to say he was not OBR.

Posts 1107 and 1108 in that thread kind of clear this up.

I suspected as much. Rollo should have explained better in his post. Keys, yep, saw your reply on ATVF and am reading now.

If you are talking a press event, you are talking about 100-200 people Impossible to meet them all unless you know everyone already; and then it is doubtful It looks like Rollo is back in Focus Group

All Will Robinson does is pretty much enjoy stirring up the hornets nest with descending one or two line zingers that really piss people off. I have a feeling his time is running out at Anandtech forums. And I have a feeling I am far from the only one that hopes so.

ROLLO REPLY :: This isn't true. I was in the front row, even asked a question. (the one about water cooling) I was drinking beer with friends in the back room at the pre-event party. I had lunch with 4 guys from NV at the lowest level of tables at the chicken/pasta lunch. The only thing I skipped was the dinner the second night, because I was beat from the last two days and wanted to get to bed early before my 12 hour travel day yesterday.
And Sky, I'm about 6'5" and go over 3 bills in my post weight lifter middle aged slide. I can't exactly "hide". Would have been a pleasure to meet you, but there were a lot of people there. I couldn't have met them all if I tried. (although as you're at all of these I can see how you'd know most of those people- I'm sure it's the same crew every time unless a fringe guy like me opts to attend) Interested to hear what apoppin thinks, and if he saw anything like Rollo describes. I was friends with OBR over at XS forums before they went on a banning spree, banning him and some of my other friends (and that's when I left XS for a while, exploring other forums). OBR was really cool with his posting style and "inner" knowledge - he's not from around here, so he couldn't be Rollo.. EDIT- sorry didn't notice the next page until after I typed this.

Does OBR have his own forum? And just so you guys don't wait up. *Nothing* is happening tomorrow as some other forums have been predicting.

Doesn't seem like it.. his website: http://www.obr-hardware.com/He was able to get his hands on pre-release engineering samples quite often.. haven't talked to him ever since. XS Forums seem to have about 1/3 of the activity that it did from 2 years ago, right before the banning spree started. People who leaked information, breaking the NDA with *any* companies were banned. XS tried to become "professional", in developing business relationships ($$$$$), with K|NGP|N starting his own line, becoming the official support forum for more tech companies, etc.. Seems like the plan has backfired in a way, with the forums on the decline (there used to be over 300 members active during peak hours, now there's barely 30-100 at any given time).
