Just came across this thread at overclock.net and cant find a reason not to buy one of these, these Yamakasi monitors use a LG IPS LCD panel, the same one found in 27" iMacs, there shipped from Korea and sold by many reputable re sellers on Ebay. Judging by the members that received there monitor, reviews have mostly been positive.

Heres a example of one on Ebay. Yamakasi Q270 on Ebay

What do you guys think?, i usually dont buy anything unless its from a reputable store that stands by there return policy but this might be worth the risk.

I personally don't mind TN panels for gaming because they have a better response time and the viewing angles don't matter much to me.

That looks like a decent deal on that screen though for sure.

If my desk could hold something like that I would be interested. I recently converted my office into a bedroom so I'm stuck using an armoire and I can only fit a 21.5" LCD in there. :(

I have one. Came with 4 dead pixels. The manufacturer changed out to cheaper components starting the end of February. As such, the newer versions don't 'overclock' past 62-67hz. Also it is a glossy panel, the reflections do get quite annoying in the day time.

Another thing that concerns me is how well my gtx 570 will handle the higher res, apoppin did you have any gtx 570 benchmarks with 1080 and 2560 resolutions.

(thy) the gtx 570 does a lot better then I thought at 2560, it's seems it can get by at that res in most games with some tweaks to graphic settings.

I'm on 3x1080p screens with my 1.28GB 470s. The only real problem is AA gobbles up huge amounts of vram.

Learn to love SMAA/FXAA... Every game is playable at my res, some games need lower settings though. Like Batman AC I can max out with FXAA on high, but BF3 MP 32/32 maps require lower visual settings and no AO.
