Are you reading the specs on newegg properly appopin?! The board has three physical full sized slots. The first one can do PCI-e 3 x16 (and when it is doing this the 2nd can do nothing) or both 1 & 2 can do PCI-e 3 x8. The third slot is PCI-e 2 x4 only.

I think this is acceptable given the price of the board.

I even went to the trouble of drawing you a nice graphic! Good that you figured it out though!

Well i have been looking at Series 7 MBs all morning and my eyes were crossing. i unfortunately looked first at the overview but missed the details.

The ASUS is a good board. But then i might be able to use my Z68 MB. i need to get more information.

At the end of the month, i can get an EVGA Series 7 MB for evaluation.
:hello:

Ivy Bridge looks like a flop and Intel is pricing it accordingly. No one in their right mind would upgrade a Sandy Bridge 2500K to one of the new Ivy Bridge chips.

It does not bode well for Haswell if Intel is having this much trouble with the 22nm process. They need to figure out a better heat spreader. Use gold in there if they have to. :)

Intel does the tic toc thing

If you are on the tic, you rarely need the toc

i am behind a couple of refreshes. For users who are on Nehelem or Bloomfield to say nothing of Penryn, it is a good upgrade.
