Something is making my system unable to post.

My GTX 460 is on the fritz but it does work in my Intel setup.

Do you guys think that some Miso Soup on the motherboard can cause damage to the CPU?

I guess it's not such an epic loss. I got the board and CPU as a combo for $139 well over a year ago. I would still like to salvage what I can, though.

Only if the soup was lucky to reach the cpu slot :D If the cpu pins come contact with the soup yeah anything is possible. It can definitely damage other board components as well.

The soup was isolated to one corner of the board near the battery. Nothing touched anywhere near the CPU.

He was asking if he could send someone his cpu to test it so probably not... Same boat here lol.

I'd help you out SB but the only AM2+ board I have anymore is a MSI one which I blew the mosfets out of for the third time about a year ago and never bothered to send it back (yet again).

Once you get your HD 7950, you will know if your system posts or not

i believe you are just impatient to find out. With luck, everything works. Just spilling soup on the MB should not damage the CPU

I *am* impatient. It has been how long now since the miso soup and I still don't have a working computer.

Everything powers up. I don't know if it beeps because I have no speaker.
