These aren't my words...... This guy on a forum is talking about an EVGA GTX 560ti 2Win LINKThe guy is saying......... 680 is barely faster. 680 is overclocked if the 560 was overclocked, it'd be above and beyond faster The 680 is cheaper, FOR THE ABOVE TWO REASONS. What do you guys think?

I think that the GTX 680 is the better card hands down in every way.

well, the OP (in the other thread) stimulates the economy and as long as he is happy with his choice, who are we to disagree. He already bought the card and is bragging about it. All one can do is say, "Nice card, good luck". -- he may learn - or not - about the disadvantages of last gen multi-GPU. The best time to give an opinion is before someone makes a choice. And it is better not to correct them unless they are advising someone else. In that case, post links to credible reviews to back up your claims.

its an interesting card. i think its a little overpriced though. i am actually glad to see a dual gf114 card. As far as gaming, the gf104/114 was Nvdias gem. It was what made the fermi architecture so successful. Its the reason nvidia started gaining market share again. It was a huge success for nvidia. instantly fermi started looking great once we seen the gf104. A lot of credit should go to it.
The first kepler evolved out of it. It is no surprise to me, it was a fermi life saver. Its a winning architecture and it only makes sense that they would improve on it. Its was a marvelous accomplishment..... a real game changer

I may not know everything and always look for help when needed, but this guy has not a clue. I tried my best to help, but he can stick another Steroid needle in his ass for all I care. For one, he attacked me for having a slower card than the 560ti and the 680 after nicely telling him that he could've gotten the 680 for about $100. cheaper than the 560ti 2win that he bought! You just really can't help some people I'm on the fence about upgrading my VC. If it is the 670 they reveal, I may jump......... If not, I'll jump for a $350. Transformer

We need to see how the GTX 670 performs. i'd like to see that one next. (i really want to see the 7 Billion transistor Big Daddy Kepler)
i know what you mean; but he knows everything already and doesn't need any help - he may just want to "impress" fellow posters.

For $400. or less As with impressions, I don't have that effect until I do my......... Oh johnny 5, you're a naughty rohbot! (Indian accent of course) No offense meant to Asian Indians. Just funning how I can do the voice from the guy in the movie Short Circuit Funning not a word? You get my drift.

He is right in that the GTX680 is just barely faster than SLI 560 Ti's. That is totally expected since the GK104 chip is the next generation mid-range chip and the GF114 was last gen's mid-range chip. GK104 is "high-end" only due to marketing. It is what should be replacing my GTX 460's (as a mid-range offering not a high-end offering. f**k keeping AMD alive).
Still the GTX 680 should be much more power efficient than the SLI'd 560's, outside of that I expect the SLI'd 560's should last as long as the 680's with the same capabilities (can do the adapative v-sync and TXAA, and has superior CUDA hardware) unless nvidia decides to cripple the Fermi generation in their drivers.

He's not talking about the SLI........ He's talking about the dual GPU 560 in the link. Sorry if that sounded harsh Again........ Kidding. If you don't get me now, you'll leave me forever...... I know Love ya' Standford! I always basically figured SLI to be approximately 1.5x of the single card of the same type. More? Less? Depends? Diapers?
