He had to add voltage to stabilize it

His is a OC dog unless he was using a stock cooler :P

i'll add those. They are quick to run.

How about Sandra? i ran PC Mark Vantage and Custom PC this afternoon
- i'll see if the i7-920 results are still valid and available

Then i have to make more charts
--This could almost turn into a full evaluation
:)

i don't need to add anything about the architecture, do i? i have all the white papers and technical details. Anything else that you would like to see that other reviewers glossed over?
- i think they did a really good job overall. Mine is the shortest, i think

There are literally dozens of pages of white papers and technical details that will soon be posted on Intel's site. i wondered if there was something specific you wanted to see.

And i looked back at my FX-8150 vs. Core i7-920 vs Phenom II 980 BE evaluation
- i used a HD 6970 for my GPU. And i tested my i3-2105 with a GTX 580. So if i do any more testing, i would have to also run them on my i7-920 with a GTX 680
So what tests do you REALLY want to see run tonight?

Oh, do you want to see both CPUs run at 4.2GHz - or see the 920 at 4.2GHz and the 3570 at stock?
- The GTX 680 will be at stock.

No both should be at 4.2 GHz.I posted a comment earlier its nowhere :(
U did a really good job comparing 4.2 GHz i7 vs 4.2 GHz IB as it was great for some guys like me still stuck with Bloomfield :P
But u need the power draws as well because @4.2 i7 will draw a lot more power i imagine.

Comment where?

Thanks. OK. i'll run a few benches for 920 vs 3770 at 4.2GHz and i'll do a power draw comparison using Kill-A-Watt.

That should round it out a little bit more. Not too many people have seen it yet as it's only found through Google, searches and our regular readers. We need to get ABT's news feed back up and running again.
:hello:

all i have to say is WOW!!!!

looks like you can laugh you as off now! all that negative bullcrap talk about how you use an aged 920, hahaha. I bet those naysayers from the other forum are dead silent about it now. Looks like your "slow" cpu isnt so slow after all. Especially considering that you kept it overclocked so high. The brand new IB cant best it when gaming. Even overclocked at 4.2 its a wash.

I would really like to see more a clock for clock, head to head CPU oriented review. the old 920 vs the 3770. Both at 4.2ghz or whatever speed as long as they are the same. it can be short and to the point. I am now kinda expecting that the ipc wont be much different at the same clock speed. It would be very interesting to see the results. Something most review sites wont do. You could also throw in the stock results to just to make it more complete for the people who dont OC. But all i care about is the performance when they are clocked identical. I really really would love to see it!!!!!!

Actually both @ 4.2 i7 wins most of the time.Look @ the last two columns. The triple channel memory controller is playing its role i guess.
