I think they understand that being upfront with their social media policy will help them in the long run.At the same time i would like to know NV's view about their new sm policy.

Well, it's been a full week since i talked to Chris Hook of AMD officially about blacklisting ABT and about their use of their employees to post without disclosure at tech forum. He asked for proof .. and names .. and i countered with, we know that AMD encourages their employees to post in social media - yet we have seen only ONE AMD employee identify himself.

Well, now the worst was when i told him that i already had contact with David Makin and told him about being offered a chance to review AMD HW as an AMD flog. So, i really don't know what will happen and if AMD will ever un-blacklist ABT for something we didn't do - other than to bring this bit of unsavory news to their attention.

What i HAVE noticed is that the Shill activity in the *obvious* department has dropped to nearly nill; are they posting in VC&G any longer or have they retired to other forums? If this is a direct reaction to ABT's exposure, it doubly doesn't look the slightest bit good now - as though the link to the mother ship is confirmed and they can turn it off and on at will.

What do you think? Wait another week and if no response, maybe another social media piece?
:hello:

First you have to let me know over the past week, if you agree that the level of activity that we have witnessed in the past - the intense engagement by certain individuals on a certain tech forum has lessened or stopped. Or has it remained unchanged?

A change would not necessarily be a good sign.

Optimism unfounded.

AMD top PR is clearly now involved in a cover up. i expect that the next thing these dirty playing guys will attempt to do is to take ABT down using their friend's lawyers.

We may well go on our front page on this one. And i really suggest that if you care about freedom and protecting tech sites from this evil invasion of AMD stealth marketing, pass this blog
http://alienbabeltech.com/main/?p=29278

on to the Consumerist

if you don't care, it will get much worse.

AMD's PR decided to side with their stealth marketers. Isn't it obvious.

Sapphire emailed me to ask if they want ABT to review their new card today. While i was replying to accept and after i pressed send, they told me it was a mistake with their list and it won't happen again.

Clearly ABT is blacklisted by AMD and its partners. Chris Hook, the lead PR guy for the tech sites (World wide reviews) promised to get back with us - 2-1/2 weeks ago. He knows that we did not break any NDA and we are blacklisted only for exposing their stealth marketing. It clearly pained him to hear that we have already met Nigel Dessau's friend David Makin when they tried to make ABT an AMD flog.

We are going to go ABT headlines with with a greatly expanded article - especially dealing with insider workings of AMD's PR and ABT. Now that our news feed is back up, i will send the new article to every tech site i know of. It should be interesting.

It's sad that it has come to this.

Hopefully some good will come out of it all.
