Sure it is. Repeat the same experiment with 4GB of system memory and watch Windows compensate for it; the frame rates don't change

Windows will be swapping to the HDD like a madman with my settings and 4 gb.

If u don't have enough system ram windows will access the paging file continuously making the frame rates dip.Greg can u do this experiment please?We posted at the same time :grin:

Maybe later on. I don't really feel like pulling memory in and out at the moment. I'm just enjoying a quiet evening playing on of my favorite games and occasionally taking a peek at the 'net.

When you have time. That is the real test, not what task manager is reporting.

How far in? It's decent enough, but the story never grabs you like a Gothic does. You keep waiting for it to get interesting, and it never does.
